Some guitars are simply bought. Others are found.

Guitars for C.A.T. is a specialist vintage and second-hand guitar shop based in Budapest, Hungary. We offer a carefully curated selection of used, rare and collectible guitars, basses, amplifiers and accessories for musicians and collectors across Europe.

Selected by a professional guitarist

I’m Tibor Pulius, professional guitarist with Supernem and ARTŪR RAMBO, as well as an experienced session musician.

Throughout my career, I have performed and recorded with numerous bands and artists, played on stages of every size and spent thousands of hours with guitars in my hands.

That real-world experience shapes every instrument I select for Guitars for C.A.T.

Every guitar in our collection is personally chosen. I pay close attention to its model, year, condition, originality, playability, tone, previous repairs, modifications and known history.

A refinished or modified guitar can still be an exceptional instrument—but you deserve to know exactly what you are considering. That is why we aim to describe every available detail clearly and honestly.

Buy a vintage guitar without buying blind

Buying a used or vintage guitar online should never mean making a decision based on a few photographs.

Before purchasing, you can arrange a personal live video presentation with me. I will show you the exact guitar from every angle, walk you through its condition and known history, demonstrate how it sounds and answer your questions in real time.

You can see and hear the actual instrument before deciding whether it is right for you.

If you prefer to try the guitar personally, a private appointment can also be arranged at our Budapest location.

International purchasing and delivery

Once you have chosen your instrument, we will confirm the total price and calculate the shipping cost based on your destination.

International orders are dispatched through established courier partners, with tracking provided after shipment. You will know the full cost before making your payment.

Whether you are a collector searching for a rare vintage guitar, a professional musician looking for a dependable instrument or a passionate player ready for a guitar with real character, you can expect honest information and personal guidance throughout the buying process.

We don’t simply sell guitars.

We help the right instrument find the right player.
